Christmas Shoes For Kids Fundraiser

Helping The Children in Need

Each year, thanks to the generous donations from our community and volunteers , we work to help provide a new pair of shoes to children in need for Christmas. In partnership with the local homeless coalition, Walmart and local churches we provide children the opportunity to receive a $20 volunteer selecting whichever shoe(s) they would like.

Paying It Forward

Our foundation recognizes the importance just one volunteer can make and the benefit of the youth in our community getting involved. A few years ago we started an annual scholarship program recognizing a graduating high school senior from each of the Bower Sisters' Alma Mater. The students selected must not only plan to continue their education at the collegiate level but also excel academically and demonstrate exemplary community service. The schools recognized are Braden River High School, Lakewood Ranch High School and Lakewood High School.

Homeless Outreach

One Step at a Time

According to the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness in Sarasota, with help from Turning Points in Manatee County, there were 1,447 homeless people recorded in Manatee & Sarasota Counties in 2017. To address this growing issue in our community, we host several events throughout the year to help provide meals to those in need. From BBQ's on the 4th of July, to Nachos on Cinco de Mayo we make it our goal to host unique opportunities to both feed the hungry and bring awareness to homelessness in our community.
